In December 2022, International Fertilizer Development Centre (IFDC) invited two participants from NaFRA to a regional Train of Trainer’s workshop at Bravia Hotel in Niamey, Niger. Mrs. Mary Kargbo Jeigula, Senior Fertilizer Inspector, and Mr. Abdul Henry Turay, Fertilizer Inspector, represented NaFRA at the training.

The training took place from the 17th to the 19^th of December 2022. The theme of the training “FEED THE FUTURE,” focused on the techniques and procedures for fertilizer inspection and quality control in West Africa and the Sahel region. The training objectives included Utilizing ECOWAS regulations to effectively regulate fertilizers in our country, ensuring that the two representatives could serve as train of trainers, and familiarizing them with reporting tools such as Kobo Collect, thermometers, sieves, probes, scales, etc., and maintaining balanced fertilization across our various growing regions.
